PanPastel Challenge Blog – Challenge 24 – Anything Goes

Standard

Morning everyone, I hope you are all enjoying your Sunday so far, it’s time for a new challenge to start over at the PanPastel Challenge Blog and this week our theme is Anything Goes. The winner will receive a fab PanPastel starter kit (colours may vary) from our regular sponsor Your Creativity Store

So as it’s Anything Goes, I thought I would do something a little different

I have taken a cheap frame and coloured it using PanPastels, I  have then then used stamps from Tim Holtz and Creative Expressions to decorate the frame. Next I die cut some tickets using a  Tim Holtz die, coloured them with PanPastels and then stamped them using stamps from Kanban. Finally I  made my bow from white ribbon and added PanPastel colour to it using perfect medium I then sprayed it to fix it and heated with a heat gun until parts of the ribbon started to melt a little bit and harden (be careful if you try this lol I nearly set fire to my bow a couple of times it’s a fine line between melting and burning)

As a finishing touch  I thought I would add a picture of my parents dog Bear who sadly is no longer with us but was the most loving animal you were ever likely to meet.

Thank you for reading this post, as always I love to read your comments and I hope that you will all come and join in with us over at the PanPastel Challenge Blog as we love to see your gorgeous creations.

PanPastel Challenge Blog – Challenge 23 – Summer Time

Standard

Morning everyone, I hope that you are all well and enjoying your Sunday. It’s time for a new challenge to start over at the PanPastel Challenge Blog and this week our theme is Summer Time. The winner will receive a fab PanPastel starter kit (colours may vary) from our regular sponsor Your Creativity Store.

So here is my attempt at a summery card

To make this card I have used an 8″x8″ shaped card blank, I cut 3 pieces of white embroidered cotton 1 medium, 1 small, 1 large, on the small one I stamped a Tim Holtz sentiment. For the larger pieces I added colour to them using PanPastels I wanted to have some colour variation on the fabric so I added colour to the fabric by scrunching it up and rubbing the fabric in to two different shades of PanPastels  then unscrunching it, rescrunching it and repeating the process on a different area of the fabric. I used Hansa Yellow and Yellow Ochre for the larger piece and Chromium Oxide Green  and  Hansa Yellow for the smaller piece, when I was happy with the coverage I sprayed them with cheap hairspray to fix them. I have then used a piece of yellow sari silk ribbon, some sunflowers from my flower stash and some die cuts cut out using a Memory box die to decorate my  card.

Thank you for reading this post, as always I love to read your comments and I hope you will pop over to the PanPastel challenge blog to join in with us.

PanPastel Challenge Blog – Challenge 21 – Something Vintage

Standard

Morning everyone, I hope that you are all well and enjoying your weekend, it’s time for a new challenge to start over at the PanPastel Challenge Blog and this week the theme is Something Vintage. The prize is a fab PanPastel starter kit provided  by our regular sponsor Your Creativity Store (colours may vary).

So here is what I have made

All of the stamps used to make my backing paper, topper and sentiment are from an Indigoblu stamp set, I have used cream card, Perfect medium and PanPastels. To make the backing paper I have simply stamped the compass image randomly over the card with perfect medium and then applied the PanPastel  using a Sofft tools sponge. All I have added for embellishments is a knotted ribbon as I  didn’t want to lose the effect of the stamps.

Thank you for reading this post, as always I love to read your comments and I hope that you will all come and join in with the PanPastel Challenge Blog as we love to  see your beautiful creations.
