PanPastel Challenge Blog – Challenge 14 – One For The Boys

Standard

Morning everyone, I hope that you are all well and having a great weekend, it’s time for a new challenge to start over at the PanPastel Challenge Blog and this weeks theme is One For The Boys, the prize is a fantastic PanPastel starter kit provided by our regular sponsor Your Creativity Store (colours may vary)

So here’s what I made

I stated with an 8″x8″ card base and a sheet of paper from My Minds Eye, I cut the paper to size and then went around the edges of the paper with dark brown PanPastels to give it a slightly more aged look and this is so much quicker and easier to do with PanPastels than it is with inks.

Next I took a sheet of cream card, I cut out the piece that I wanted to save for my main images and then stamped all over the card using 1 stamp from Tim Holtz and 1 stamp from Indigoblu and perfect medium and then added colour with brown and black PanPastels.

Next I stamped out the same two images again on to the piece of card that I cut out and saved once again using perfect medium and then used brown PanPastel to colour the image and the entire surface of the card and then used a putty eraser to lift off the colour around the edges to get a patchy effect.

I then cut out the strips that I wanted from the backing paper that I had made and stuck it all together.

Thank you for reading this post, as always I love to read your comments and I hope that you will all come and join in with the PanPastel Challenge Blog as we love to see your gorgeous creations.

About craftymonster81

I have always enjoyed arts and crafts of many different kinds and have recently found that card making / paper craft is a real passion for me. I draw / paint alot of my own designs for my cards but also use products from many of the well loved crafty names out there too. I am currently looking for work as an illustrator / craft designer and have now set up a page on this blog called My Artwork Gallery to show some of my work. I love to see your comments on either my artwork or my cards so please feel free to leave any comments you may have and if anyone is interested in any of my artwork please feel free to contact me. Thanks for looking at my blog. Lindsay xx
